What areas do you serve? We service the Greater Houston area, with emphasis in the West, Southwest, and North & Northwest.

How long have you been in business? Pickett Plumbing was founded in 1989. Its founder obtained his Master Plumber license in 1967 & has concentrated on the service & repair part of the industry.

Are you family owned? Yes, by a native Houstonian & the family.

Do you provide same-day service? Yes.

What are your regular hours? 7:30-5:30, Mon-Fri & 7:30-2:00 Sat.

Do you service all brands? Yes.

Do you carry parts on your truck? Our trucks are "warehouses-on-wheels". We carry enough parts to repair 97% of the service requests on the initial visit. Our main warehouse is also fully stocked & we have backup warehouses available for special items. 

How long will I have to wait if you don't have the part? That depends on the availability of the part-most items can be obtained in 24-36 hours or less. Tempor ary repairs can be performed to limit your inconvenience.

What is your hourly rate? We charge by the job, not by the hour, better yet, you will know the price before we do the work. 

Will you quote me a price in advance? We use a patented Straight Forward Price book which allows you to know the cost first, and prevents you from being penalized if the worker is having a bad day or works slowly. No more timing the plumber & worrying how much he will charge you. And, we will share with you our price book. Will others do the same?

Are you licensed?  By whom? All of our plumbers and apprentices are licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, P.O. Box 4200, Austin, Texas 78765-4200, (800) 845-6584 http://www.tsbpe.state.tx.us/index.htm

What insurance should a contractor carry? You are protected by our General Liability/Completed Operations policy; a certificate may be supplied upon request.

Have your employees had drug tests? Background checks? Every single one of our workers are drug screened and subject to a thorough background investigation prior to ever being sent to your home.

Do I have to be at home when you come? We request an adult, acting as your agent, be present to allow us into your home in order to solve your plumbing issue.

What kind of training do your technicians have? Every one of our plumbers are licensed by the State Board of Plumbing Examiners, plus, each of our plumbers attend a weekly shop meeting where we discuss new products, procedures, safety, customer relations, etc. Additionally, attendance at an annual continuing education class is required.

What kind of guarantee or warranty do you offer?  We offer the longest warranty in the area; the warranty term depends on the service or product.
